AREA I-V Recommendations
AREA I:
A grade of "C" or higher is required in Composition I and II at ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½.
"D" grades will not transfer.
AREA II:
When selecting courses from Areas II and IV, please note that at least one 6sh sequence
in either Literature (Area II) or History (Area IV) must be completed.
AREA III:
A grade of "C" or higher is required in the Math course chosen. "D" grades will not
transfer.
AREA IV:
When selecting courses from Areas II and IV, please note that at least one 6sh sequence
in either Literature (Area II) or History (Area IV) must be completed.
Students attending TROY are required to complete an Introduction to Leadership course. Students attending a community college are strongly encouraged to complete LDR 101 (Introduction to Leadership) in Area IV to meet this requirement.
AREA V:
The remaining 23sh in Area V can be obtained at the community college by taking 23sh from the following:
- ORI 101 (Orientation to College)(1 SH)
- ART 113 (Drawing I)(3 SH)
- ART 114 (Drawing II)(3 SH)
- ART 121 (2D Composition I)(3 SH)
- ART 127 (3D Composition)(3 SH)
- ART 203 (Art History I)(3 SH)
- ART 204 (Art History II)(3 SH)
- ART 216 (Printmaking I)(3 SH)
- ART 233 (Painting I)(3 SH)
- ART 243 (Sculpture I)(3 SH)
- LDR 101 (Introduction to Leadership)(3 SH)-if not completed in Area IV
ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ Baccalaureate Degrees
The student seeking a baccalaureate degree must meet the following credit hour requirements:
- A minimum of 120 SH
- At least 50 percent of the degree program must be traditional academic credit.
- No more than 25 percent of the degree program may be earned using portfolio based credit.
- At least 25 percent of the degree program must be completed with ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½.
- Twelve (12) semester hours of work in each major field must be completed in residence
at ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½.
